Morning's Cacophony
Morning's on my little front porch begin quiet, then an array of sounds flow by as the day begins. Sounds both from nature and man break the quietness of night as sunrise breaks the dark of night.
Morning’s Cacophony
There are moments stillness in the air
As a new day begins to share
Faint hum of distance cars, begins to grow
“Urr, urr, urr, echos the rooster crows
Cars rush by with a “vroom, vroom”
“Cheer-up, cheer-up” the robin sings his tune
“Squawk, squawk, squawk’’sings the bluejay choir
Finches “twitter, twitter” the pitch much higher
“Rumble, rumble “as a truck rolls past
Quietness moments briefly last
Rooster crows. “urrr, urrr, ur” once more
Signaling morning is at the door
“Twitter, twitter” the house finch’s refrain
A gentle song breaking the quiet chain
Nature’s melody mingles with the noise
Quiet moments of gratitude for the joys
Welcoming this gift of a new day
As a cacophony of sounds starts to play

You do have a great relationship with the English language. Well done as usual Linda. Thank you for doing this each week.
